Mount Emei (Emeishan) Day Tour Top Attraction around Chengdu
Welcome to visit Mt. Emei with Explore China Tibet Travel Service! Mount Emei (Emeishan) Day Tour

AS a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mt. Emei is a sacred Buddhist Mountain in the southern part of Sichuan Province. And it is 150 kilometers south of Chengdu, 130 kilometers from the Shuangliu International Airport. So, it’ quite convenient for travelers to drive to Mt. Emei for around 2 hours. Or you can take the bullet train right at the Shuangliu International Airport after arriving by plane, which only takes you 1h.

As for its name “Emei”, it means eyebrows of a pretty girl which comes from the figure. Mt. Emei is famous for its ranks as the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Every year, it attracts thousands of foreign travelers to come. Generally, there’re four scenic spots:  Baoguo Temple, Wannian Temple, Qingyin Pavilion and Golden Summit. Each one has its unique characteristics. However, Golden Summit is the main landmark which stands at 3079.3 meters above the sea level. Normally, visitors will climb or take the telpher to the Golden Summit and enjoy clouds sea, sunrise, Buddha rays and saint lamps. Just so you know, it’s a wonderland to hold many fabulous wonders.

Journey of Adventurous Heart & Curious Mind

The scenery of Mt. Emei varies from season to season. In spring and summer time, they’ll embrace with green woods and cool breeze. Along the way to the main peak, you can even closely watch or feed many adorable monkeys. While in autumn, there’re a large of golden trees and leaves, it seems like you enter into a fairyland. Standing high and overlook all the hills and clouds, having a sense of yourself being so small. In winter, Mt. Emei has worn a beautiful outfit of white flakes. And I’ll highly recommend that travelers do hiking and climb up to the peak. Especially, there’re several courier stations up the hill, where you can buy a spicy sausage or a corn and have a rest. Generally speaking, travelers looking for some marvelous hikes will just be satisfied with the landscapes.

In addition, with a long history and a deep culture of Mt. Emei, travelers will definitely be impressed by the 76 Buddhist Monasteries located throughout the paths and strangely adapting their architecture to the landscape.

We hope you can enjoy every minute in Mt. Emei. And of course, if you’re looking for other travel program in Sichuan, Tibet or other cities in China, here at Explore China Tibet travel service, we are always pleased to help you out! Read further about Chengdu day tours.
