Tibet Tours Activities by Locals in 2021/2022

7 DAY TIBET OVERLAND TRIP TO EBC: the trip was from 24 April 2019 to 30 April 2019 and was one of my best trips ever. the guide was excellent and so was the driver. I had a touch of altitude sickness and that made the guide always check on me. The guide was very knowledgeable wherever we visited ,especially the monasteries. Accommodation was great and the tour company provided excellent service all the way back to Kathmandu. My high lite was the visit to EBC.

Tony from Tibet Local Guide – Tibet Ctrip Tours (Local China Guide Tibet Branch) was great to deal with. He booked our soft seat train from Chengdu, the Visas, the tour to EBC and our onward flights. Nothing was any trouble. He was courteous and answered all questions swiftly in perfect English. Our guide was patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I took my parents on a trip through Tibet starting in Chengdu and ending in Kathmandu.

Overall the trip was excellent, very well organized and planned.

While some of the accommodation in Tibet wasn’t of the highest quality, it was the best in the area.

The guides were generally very knowledgeable and helpful, willing to accommodate our needs.

There were generally no problems and everything was arranged as expected, despite initial nervousness due to lack of confirmed details.

I had a great four-day trip to Lhasa with Tibet Ctrip Tours and was highly impressed with their quality of service. I requested a tour at short notice and Tony was very friendly and professional, able to arrange the permits quickly and offer exactly what I wanted itinerary wise. The price was very fair compared to some of the other agencies I had looked at.

When in Lhasa I had a great Tibetan tour guide, Phurbu, who spoke excellent English. He had a strong knowledge of both the religious and historical aspects of the places we visited, but was also able to a great insight into the local culture.

Tony was responsive and attentive from the very first time we contacted him.

He helped arrange our Tibet travel permits (We are American passport holders living in Hong King) and customised our tour to accommodate a separate day trip to Yamdrok Lake.

Overall, it was his patience over a course of 4 weeks while we sorted out our train tickets that really impressed us.

He provided great advice on how to acclimate to the altitude and ensured we planned enough rest days before commencing our tour.

The car pick-up and drop-offs, as well as his choice of a wonderful and knowledgable English speaking guide was highly appreciated.

Tony was very flexible when we communicated that we preferred to book our own accommodation and train tickets and never pushed a “package”.
