Drak Yerpa Monastery is in the north of Dazi county. In the 7th century, the great Tibetan king Songtsan Gampo built this monastery for his wife Monza Triucham. There were originally 108 caves at Drak Yerpa, but only a few of them still remain today. Many temples were built around the cave, and later they form the famous monastery today as a whole. Drak Yerpa Monastery is a peaceful attraction and provides stunning views to its visitors.
